Here is a company-wide email sent out this morning:

For you safety, please remember as you exit the parking garage that the gate must be all the way up before you try to exit. Please do not try to rush the gate. When you are in your car the clearance height is deceptive. Hitting the gate can cause extensive damage to your car and to the gate. We have had two accidents within the past two weeks. Video surveillance reveals that many of us are narrowly avoiding accidents daily. Please exercise caution each time you exit the garage.

I don't know why but this just cracks me up (must be the sudafed...sniff).
First thought: "C'mon people, who doesn't know that the gate needs to be up before your car can get out?!" Doesn't a door have to be open for you to get out? There's absolutely nothing new about this concept.
Second thought: "I totally think they ought to email out all the names of people who fail to clear the gate...what a great deterrent!"
Third thought: "Your full cooperation is appreciated?! Sounds like partial cooperation will get your car damaged..."
