How this process works:
- You funnel in from a very busy street
- Cars separate into 3 lines
- Lighted signs above the bays read "No Pets" and "Turn off Cellular Phones"
- You sit in line (on average about 55 minutes) until you reach the bays where receive instructions (right blinker, left blinker, windshield wipers, etc).
- You receive your printout and off ya go!
Things that caught my eye/ran through my mind:
- White haired ladies in the Oldmobile in front of me reading the Piggly Wiggly circulars
- Guy clipping his fingernails in the truck beside me
- Guy in the Chevrolet pickup to my right and behind me - his hood and bumper were bungee corded to his frame (yes, as far as I know, he did pass inspection)
- Why do I always feel so competitive when cars on either side of me move up before me?
What this process needs:
- A way out. Seriously, if you end up at the end of the line; you'll be waiting a minimum of 45 minutes...even if you have an emergency; there's no way out of these lines.
- A music video. Oh yes, this would be nice. It begs to have some pop music where people get out of their cars and just break into spontaneous dance.
- Vending. How awesome would it be to get a hot dog, peanuts or a cup of coffee while waiting?
